Ragamuffin Cats are descendents of Ragdoll Cats crossed with Persians and Himalayans. Some Ragamuffins go completely limp when they are held. Ragamuffins like to follow people around the house. The name Ragamuffin started as a joke when a group of Ragdoll breeders broke off with the official breed association and simply renamed their stock. Ragamuffins are now more prevalent than Ragdolls, and Ragdoll Cats are considered a Ragamuffin sub-category.
