    RagaMuffin Cats can make good pets in D.C. if they match your IifestyIe. Ragamuffin Cats are large, long-haired cats. Ragamuffins are known for their exceptionally friendly temperaments. Ragamuffins are very dog-like in their devotion. Ragamuffins are patient and affectionate with children as well as other pets. Ragamuffins love attention and activity, but are also very happy to be lap cats.

    Ragamuffin Cats are descendents of Ragdoll Cats crossed with Persians and Himalayans. Some Ragamuffins go completely limp when they are held. The name Ragamuffin started as a joke when a group of Ragdoll breeders broke off with the official breed association and simply renamed their stock. Ragamuffins are now more prevalent than Ragdolls, and Ragdoll Cats are considered a Ragamuffin sub-category.
